Hi friends!

Dinner table, a few nights ago. Our 5-year-old: "What's the fastest thing in the world?"

Dad lights up. This is his moment. He launches in: "Most questions in life don't have a definitive answer. But physics questions—"

"What IS it?"

"...light."

"LIGHT MOVES?!"

"That's why when you flip a switch across the room, you see it right away."

Five minutes later: "But how do you know it's fast?"

So she walks to the far end of the room, flips the switch, and sprints — trying to beat the light back across. Does it ten more times. Comes back out of breath: "Yeah. It's pretty fast."

Honestly, time feels about the same lately.

Good news: we don’t have to outrun it. Below is my part to help save you some time and mental load this week.

Here’s what’s inside this issue:

💧 Stage 3 water rules — what's banned, plus the wading-pool news if you've got littles

🍷 A free wine tasting on Cambie tomorrow — and no, you don't need to bring the kids

🌶️ A new Mumbai street-food spot — and it's right on our street

Plus: a school carnival, a free kids’ workshop heads-up, car-free Granville, and a few free summer fixtures worth bookmarking.

Let's get into it. 👇🏼
